Rates & Payments

Cancellation Policy
Any booking made on a flexible rate can be modified/cancelled until 2pm the day prior to arrival at no extra cost. If the modification/cancellation falls after 2pm on the day prior to arrival, one night accommodation penalty applies.

Any booking made on pre-paid rates are non-cancellable and non-refundable.

If you have booked through a travel agent or Online Travel Agent, please contact them directly to make changes to your booking.

Peak periods, such as New Year’s EVE require a minimum length of stay and pre-payment.

Group Bookings
Bookings of five or more rooms are considered as a group booking and fall under the group booking conditions.

A full rooming list will be required no later than 7 days prior to check-in and a pre-payment is requested 10 days prior to check-in.

Any extra arrangements must be discussed and organised with The Russell Boutique Hotel Team prior to arrival.

No-Shows
Guests not checked-in on the day of arrival with no previous amendment or communication are considered as a no-show and will be charged for the first night accommodation. The room will be released at 11am the next day.

Credit Card & ID
The Russell Boutique Hotel requires all guests to present at check-in a valid form of ID and credit/debit card corresponding with the name on the reservation.

A $50 AUD security deposit per night will be held on the credit/debit Card as a pre-authorisation to cover any incidentals you may have.

We only accept physical credit/debit card for pre-authorisation.

Cash is not accepted as a security deposit but can be used as a method of payment at the end of the stay.

Payment
Full payment of the accommodation charges is required at check-in.

Our guests can choose to use a different credit/debit card than the one used for the pre-authorisation to settle any outstanding charges.

Releasing a credit/debit card pre-authorisation takes between 5 and 7 business days.

Payment by credit / debit card will incur a 1.5% surcharge but payment by cash will not incur any surcharge.

You must be at least 18 years of age to book accommodation.

Please note that the photos displayed on this website are for reference purposes only. Our hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and as a result, some rooms may look slightly different once the renovations are complete.

Non-smoking policy

All rooms and common areas, including but not limited to Rooftop, Reception, Foyer and Sitting room are strictly non-smoking, this includes the use of electronic cigarettes and vapes.

Any evidence of smoking in the property will incur a one-night rate penalty.

Check-in & Check-out
Our check-in time is 2pm and check-out time is 11am. As a small Boutique hotel, we are unable to guarantee early check-in or late check-out.

Please reach out to our team to organize and we will do our best to accommodate your request, fees may apply.

Reception opens at 7am daily, if you are leaving prior to this, please inform our team to have your final bill organized the night before.

Rooftop area & Sitting Room
The Rooftop area and Sitting Room of the hotel is for guests use only and not open to the public. These areas are open daily for guest use during reception hours. They are unmonitored areas therefore use of these spaces is strictly at the risk of the guest.

Laundry facility
The self-serve Laundry is only open during reception hours and at the price of $4 per load, complementary laundry powder and detergent are available at the front desk. The Russell Boutique Hotel is not responsible for any damage to your belongings, the use of the laundry facility is at your own risk.

Item safekeeping

All rooms are equipped with a safe for your personal belongings. Any lost, misplaced or damaged items not secured in the safe at your disposal in your room are not under The Russell Boutique Hotel’s responsibility.

Under the Innkeepers Act 1968 the Hotel may, in certain circumstances be liable to make good on any loss or damage to guest property even though it was not due to any fault of the innkeeper or any servant in their employ.

  • This liability however:
    a) extends only to the property of guests who have engaged sleeping accommodation at the inn
    b) is limited to one hundred dollars to any one guest except in the case of property which has been deposited, or offered for deposit, for safe custody
    c) does not cover motor-vehicles or other vehicles of any kind or any property left in them, or any live animals

Security and Eviction
The Hotel may evict a guest without any warning or refund due to, but not limited to, intoxication, physical and / or verbal abuse to staff members or any other guests, caught in the act or with evidence of smoking or drug use in the property.

Excess Cleaning fees

Will be charged to the Guest’s credit card if offensive odours or excess mess are found in room/s after your departure.

Photography Policy
Any photography of our space for commercial, film or marketing use for another brand or company must be to be approved by our hotel management prior.

Complaints are to be referred to the Manager on Duty or via [email protected]
All complaints are treated seriously, and we will answer in a timely manner.
